Vodafone BlackBerry Storm Release Update not good

Vodafone BlackBerry Storm Release Update not goodWe have just had an email sent to us stating that the release of the Vodafone BlackBerry Storm has been delayed.

This is what the email says: Please note that there has been a delay to the release of the Blackberry Storm. The launch date has been changed from the 7th of November to the 14th of November.

The decision had to be made due to all the interest that surrounds the device and the sheer levels of pre-reg and pre-orders. The weeks delay will allow Vodafone to ensure that they are delivering the best customer experience possible at the highest quality.

Nokia 500 4.3 Touch Screen Auto Navigation GPS Review

Nokia 500 4.3 Touch Screen Auto Navigation GPS Review<br />UnThis is just a quick review to refresh your memory, yes it is the Nokia 500 4.3 Touch Screen Auto Navigation GPS system that is already on the market.

We are about phones and the reason we are mentioning this GPS system is because it has Bluetooth, which means you can sync mobile phones to it. The sound quality on the Nokia 500 is brilliant with very good clarity especially when playing MP3 files.

It has an FM-transmitter which is great for playing music or navigational voice instructions via your car audio player; this is all down to the software which will allow you to store up to five fixed frequencies.

Now as we said the Nokia 500 GPS has Bluetooth technology which will allow you to pair you mobile phone and seeing as it has a FM transmitter you can talk to people on your mobile phone contacts list via the car stereo, Bluetooth connectivity works great with Nokia phones with no problems at all but can be a problem with some other branded mobile phones.

All-in-all what we are saying is that the Nokia 500 4.3 Touch Screen Auto Navigation GPS is pretty good, not the ultimate GPS system but indeed well worth buying. The handsfree calling is great and it seems to do its job well. Read full review over on Lets Go Digital

BlackBerry Storm with Telus now moved to December

BlackBerry Storm with Telus now moved to DecemberThe other day I reported on the BlackBerry Storm hitting Telus on the 17th of November… (See here), well apparently it now looks like the BlackBerry Storm’s arrival with Telus is being pushed back.

So you can forget about November 17th as the word is Telus won’t be seeing the Research In Motion BlackBerry Storm until early December, which is cutting it somewhat close to Christmas.

No word as yet to the BlackBerry Storm launch date with Bell Canada either, but we are guessing it will probable be in line with Telus. The word is to expect Telus to now launch the Blackberry Storm between December 4th and December 8th.

Over the next few weeks (Seven to be precise) Sprint will phone-cast all eight games that are of course televised solely on the NFL Network, the Cleveland Browns vs. the Denver Broncos kicks of at 8:00PM ET.

You will need a Sprint TV-capable mobile phone and the Everything Plan (or a $15 per month add-on) in order to tune in, let us know what you think of this.

RIM BlackBerry Storm on Vodafone gets un-boxing treatment

RIM BlackBerry Storm on Vodafone gets un-boxing treatment
It looks to be that Vodafone’s BlackBerry Storm availability is streaking ahead of Verizon’s BlackBerry storm availability, so we guess the North Americans will just have to sulk at Vodafone customers getting the Storm before they do.

And just to rub a little salt into the wounds, the guys over at T3 have managed to grab hold of a Research In Motion BlackBerry Storm and dragged out the camera for some un-boxing treatment.

BlackBerry Storm on pre-order at Best Buy right now

BlackBerry Storm on pre-order at Best Buy right nowApparently the word on the streets is that Best Buy is to begin taking pre-orders for Research In Motion’s latest BlackBerry, the BlackBerry Storm as of today the 6th of November with a $50.00 deposit.

This if true shows at least that Best Buy is expecting quite a demand for the BlackBerry Storm when it finally his the shelves next month, and at least one Best Buy store has apparently confirmed this claim.

So if you are patiently awaiting the BlackBerry Storm, you may just want to pop along to your friendly neighbourhood Best Buy store and get your order in, that’s if you want to be one of the first to own the RIM BlackBerry Storm that is.

BMW 530d M-Sport Saloon & Apple iPhone 3G Bluetooth Connection

BMW 530d M-Sport Saloon & Apple iPhone 3G Bluetooth ConnectionNow here is a dilemma, many of you might be having troubles with the IPhone 3G bluetooth echo problem - In BMW and I had the same problem when I went to test drive one yesterday.

There are many BMW drivers out there who are complaining of an echo when they are using their Apple iPhone 3G in the car with the in-car Bluetooth system, yes we found this problem in a 2005 BMW 530d M-Sport Saloon.

I turned on the Bluetooth on the Apple iPhone 3G and paired with the BMW within seconds but the connection kept dropping and no contacts would show up on the BMW’s on-screen display, well after trying a few times with no success I thought I would try the salesman’s BlackBerry Curve and that worked fine. I went back into the car showroom and he showed me that it will only work with certain software as far as I could see. Now I know for a fact it works with the iPhone 2G but it does not work with the 3G which is a pain in the backside if you ask me.

Now I need a phone and if Apple do not sort this problem with a new software update they are on the verge of losing a customer, now I do not wish to give up my much loved iPhone 3G because it is an awesome smartphone, but hey it is cheaper to get rid of the phone than getting rid of the car.

If you are having any of the above problems please let me know, I would love to know your problems and fixes if any please.

Sony Ericsson launches W902 and PlayNow Plus music service

Sony Ericsson launches W902 and PlayNow Plus music serviceSony Ericsson has officially launched the Sony Ericsson W902 and along side the mobile handset has also officially launched their PlayNow Plus music service, although presently the PlayNow Plus music downloads service is only available via Sweden’s Telenor.

However, it is more than likely other carriers along with more compatible mobile phones will be added over time as I can’t see Sony Ericsson sitting back and letting the other music services hog all the music downloads business.

As it stands though, anyone outside Sweden at the moment will just have to rely on insider reports and leaks to see just how well the Sony Ericsson PlayNow Plus service fares

Can a $199 android phone be made by December?

Can a $199 android phone be made by December?Apparently Ruslan Kogan, a 25 year old entrepreneurial Australian whiz kid reckons he has the ability to assemble an Android based mobile phone in just over a month, and that he expects to sell this new Google Android based mobile phone for just $199.00.

Kogan says: “It’s a matter of loading the Android system on to the phone, configuring it, making sure it works very well and then the manufacturing of the few thousands phones that we need to launch it is just a matter of a day or two.”

A big claim, but Kogan, offer a variety of “Kogan branded” kit which he has built directly for him in China apparently, and presumably he is hoping to do the same with a new Android-custom mobile handset. Wonder what it will look like if he actually achieves it.

Video: Confirmation of OpenMoko running Google Android platform

Video: Confirmation of OpenMoko running Google Android platformThere have been a few whispers from an anonymous tipster leaking word that Android is running on an OpenMoko mobile phone, and we have a video of it. OpenMoko is one of the first Open Source mobile phones on the market.

Although the handset is kind of an ugly piece and didn’t seem to take off, it has been on back order for quite some time, furthermore, it’s not just that OpenMoko is running the Google Android platform, but the word is Koolu is going to be helping by utilising their own project which is to incorporate the handset as well.

There is also another rumour running run that there will be a free beta port for all existing FreeRunner mobile phone owners. So it does seem that the Android platform has now caught the interest of both large and small mobile phone companies.

BlackBerry PAYG (Pre-Paid) Phones from RIM

BlackBerry PAYG (Pre-Paid) Phones from RIMResearch In Motion has already launched their pre-paid BlackBerry server in Indonesia which probably has a few other countries lining up foaming at the mouth. Pre-paid will take Research In Motion up to the next level and allows everyone into the game.

With RIM going pre-paid, even if you don’t have the perfect credit history, it opens up the BlackBerry to a whole new audience who maybe haven’t even considered a BlackBerry because it wasn’t pre-paid.
BlackBerry PAYG (Pre-Paid) Phones from RIM
RIM’s strategy for the upcoming year seems to be along the lines of pitching to carriers, how RIM gets its revenue and when, and the target market of those on a more limited budget, people who just can’t get post-paid carrier credit or simply just don’t want a long term commitment.

Video: Apple iPhone 3G with physical QWERTY?

Video: Apple iPhone 3G with physical QWERTY?The one thing some say the Apple iPhone 3G lacks is a physical keyboard, and some just can’t get on with the virtual keyboard, well if so then you’ll probably like the news as it will give you hope for a physical keyboard for your Apple iPhone.

Some clever enterprising spark appears to be running a slab of Ruby code on their jailbroken Apple iPhone 3G, and this code allows the Apple iPhone 3G to recognise what looks to be a Palm or Visor external keyboard which is connected via a custom cable.

So, does this mean the Apple iPhone 3G can now be linked to a physical keyboard? Maybe, but probably not going to be a widespread option, so I’d say stick with the virtual, or go for a full QWERTY handset.

Vodafone 1231 smartphone gains FCC approval

Vodafone 1231 smartphone gains FCC approvalThe Vodafone 1231 smartphone has now shown up at the FCC, and according to information, of which there isn’t a great deal, the Vodafone 1231 will feature a 2.5 inch QVGA display, 1.3 megapixel camera, and 64MB of RAM.

The Vodafone 1231 measures 113 x 65.4 x 14.5 millimetres and comes in with a weight of 130 grams. Surprisingly though for some reason the Vodafone 1231 lacks any WiFi or 3G, which means it won’t compete with the top end mobile phones on the market.

And that’s about all there is available on the Vodafone 1231 for the moment, but I’m sure more info will filter through sooner or later along with an availability date and all important pricing.

Do you want a BlackBerry Bold for FREE? Well LetsTalkThe BlackBerry Bold 9000 for free? Can this be possible? Well according to the guys over at LetsTalk.com they will give the stylish BlackBerry from Research in Motion (RIM) for nothing as long as you sign up for a 2-year deal with AT&T. Given that the fact that the BlackBerry Bold would cost you $199.99 you would be silly not to take up this offer if you were thinking of getting the Bold as offers like this on BlackBerry devices don’t come up often.

Does it sound to good to be true? Well check out the site yourself, we have read it and it clearly says you get the Bold 9000 for free but we would be quick as we are not sure how long the offer will last, obviously check the deal out, make sure there are no hidden clauses etc, and presto you will get yourself a shiny new BlackBerry Bold for free, can’t be bad. Google Android PTerminal app jailbreaks T-Mobile G1?

Google Android PTerminal app jailbreaks T-Mobile G1?Looks like the Google Android T-Mobile G1 has been cracked as members of the XDA Developers forum have found a way to gain root access as there is apparently a loop hole in the PTerminal app which grants access.

The PTerminal app can be downloaded from the Android Market and apparently you can use this application to begin a telnet connection with the T-Mobile G1 and a computer.

Gaining root access or “jailbreaking” the T-Mobile G1 will open the door to loads of new hacks and even a task manager to end task applications. Will Google push out a quick patch to plug the loop hole? Possibly.

Nokia N96 and LG KT-610 Mobile Video Reviews

Nokia N96 and LG KT-610 Mobile Video ReviewsWe know how much our readers enjoy watching video reviews, and we have here a video review covering not only the Nokia N96 and LG KT-610, but also several other handsets as well.

But let’s take a quick look at the Nokia N96, the Nokia N96 isn’t as bad as some critics make out, but then again it isn’t as good as the Nokia hype either. Basically the Nokia N96 sits firmly between the good and the bad as a decent attempt from Nokia and does have some significant improvements over the Nokia N95.

As for the LG KT-610, well LG claim the KT-610 is aimed towards the heavy texters out there, but most heavy texters would probably be faster on predictive text than on the KT-610 quirky qwerty. The LG KT-610 would sort of be more suitable to the older generation.

3 Mobile INQ1 photos leaked: facebook frenzy<br />UnWhat is this phone I hear you ask? It’s the mystery phone from 3 Mobile the ‘INQ’ similar to the Skypephone and the Skypephone S2, but with far more to offer, the INQ1 has a few promises up its sleeve, one being it will change the way you use facebook on your mobile forever, from the little insight we have on the INQ1 which is an obvious name considering its from the INQ series it look like the concept is based around instant chat and social networking.

We have attached some pictures of the INQ1 for you to have a good look at, you might not be that memorized with the look of the handset as it doesn’t look that fetching, so why all the fuss? You have a 3.2 Megapixel camera, and with the design looking like something out of the dark ages with the big chunky style we saw on the old Nokia mobiles, what possibly could the 3 mobile INQ1 offer us.

So we will tell you a little about the INQ1 Skypephone series, taking pointers from Apple it’s all about the software, you get a native Windows Messenger, Full Facebook integration an e-Bay tracker and of course all your Skype functions. You also get OTA software downloads and even a great WebKit browser, and every handset sold by 3 is loaded with HSDPA due to the 3G network.

Oh and this 3-branded phone can be used as a mobile dongle with you lap top when you need to roam, and with the VoIP you can use it just like the Skype phones. It will cost you under £150 and is out on November 13 and you do not need to have a contract.

Video:Beware of the Android Robot at Google Campus

Video:Beware of the Android Robot at Google CampusYes well, I just wonder how long it will take for the Google Android robot to become available in a multitude of toys and other paraphernalia, as it seems there is quite a following to the green Google friend.

In this video there appears to be a rather large resemblance of the green Google Android robot making an appearance outside some Google offices, and the video capture the green droid from varying angles.

The video clip is 1.44 minutes in length and has been set to music, but to be honest, one can tell this video wasn’t shot by a professional, and does seem to me to be somewhat pointless.

LG KS500 to pack 3 megapixels, GPS and an optical touchpad

LG KS500 to pack 3 megapixels, GPS and an optical touchpadThe latest LG KS500 is one of those handsets that won't get your attention on first look but it packs quite a punch under its unassuming looks. The nifty slider boasts a 3 megapixel camera, a QVGA display, a GPS receiver with Yahoo! Go maps application and quite possibly an affordable price tag.

Contrary to many of the online rumors, which spawned when the device was first leaked through the US FCC website, it's now finally clear that LG KS500 is not a smartphone.

The LG KS500 is a tri-band GSM phone which offers dual-band UMTS/HSDPA support. Measuring 102.8 x 49.2 x 14.9 mm doesn't really make it the most compact chap on the block, but still it's nothing too big.

LG KS500 official photos

The KS500 has a 262K color display of QVGA resolution, a 3 megapixel fixed focus camera (sad, we know), 100MB of built-in memory and a microSD card with support for an addition 8GB.

Although it doesn't sound ground-breaking by any means, you might be interested to know that the LG KS500 is the first handset by the South Korean company to feature an optical touchpad. It helps navigation through the menus or the web browser.

Unlike similar Samsung solutions, with the KS500 you can opt for turning off the optical trackpad in the menus, but leaving it on for an extra sweet experience in the web browser, which we guess will be the mouse-enabled NetFront 3.4 variety.

And finally, the LG KS500 brings GPS connectivity with A-GPS support. Yahoo! Go maps and location services application is preinstalled on board to make finding your way around that much easier. Of course, you can always add Google Maps for Mobile if you wish.

We don't know much on the projected availability or pricing of the LG KS500, but judging on the Vodafone brand on the official photos, you will be able to find it through Vodafone networks, so a nice, subsidized price seems a fair guess.

Apple iPhone and iPod Touch gains optimized cam porn website

Apple iPhone and iPod Touch gains optimized cam porn websiteWell now, here’s a thing that may just catch the attention of every hot blooded male iPhoner out there; it’s the world’s first porn web cam site to be optimized to work exclusively with the Apple iPhone and Apple iPod Touch.

Yes guys you read right, a porn web cam site for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, but the exclusive means that the website won’t actually work on a desktop browser, so if you happen to want to check it out you’ll have to do so by iPhone.

The available content is an array of cam feeds of both couples and singles, and one would imagine obviously “doing the biz”. Apparently the quality isn’t that great when using WiFi so maybe trying it via 3G is the best option, that’s if you want to of course.
