The Samsung SCH-R410 is a unique, compact cellular phone. While it packs a powerful assortment of functions, the phone’s horizontally opening side sliding design will have people turning heads.

The Samsung SCH-R410 measures 3.9” X 1.9” with a beautiful 1.9” display screen featuring 65K colors and 176 X 220 pixel resolution. Below the screen are your navigational scroll buttons and number pad to use your SCH-R410 as a normal cell phone. However, when you slide the phone’s top plate horizontally, you reveal an additional QWERTY keypad for simple text messaging and web browsing. The display turns from portrait to landscape as soon as you slide the keypad out, and when you push it back in, it returns to portrait.

The Metro PCS service provider offers a web browsing service called MetroWEB, allowing you to access whatever you need from your SCH-R410. Consequently, if you have to access the latest sports, entertainment, weather or news from wherever you happen to be, getting this information is simple with the SCH-R410. The sliding QWERTY keypad makes browsing easy and the SMS, MMS and mail@metro services allow you to keep in touch with friends, family and colleagues at a moment’s notice.


Equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology, the SCH-R410 comes complete with a wireless headset, dial up networking, A2DP and more. These functions are handy when driving or in other situations.

In addition, the phone boasts of a VGA camera with multi-shot and a number of other functions - such as photo quality settings and color effects that include normal, black & white, sepia, aqua, antique, negative, sketch, and emboss. The memory allows for up to 500 phonebook entries and the standard battery allows for 2.5 hours of talk time or 200 hours on standby.

Overall, the Samsung SCH-410 is both an impressive and practical phone that suits many a cell phone user.
