Hutchison Whampoa, the parent company of 3 has launched a new mobile phone manufacturing company called INQ, and this new company will launch their new mobile phones next month on 3.
The first mobile phones from INQ, under the Hutchison Whampoa umbrella, are believed to be within the pricing range of between £50.00 and £80.00, and a further 5 mobile handsets will be launched in 2009.
These INQ handsets mark the return of 3 to pre-pay, something 3 has avoided since getting their fingers burned back in 2005 when their subsidised handsets were targeted by box breakers. While recently 3 turned down offering the Sony Ericsson K505 for £50.00 due to a box breaking increase.
