Unwired Appeal has announced the launch of their TextLink mobile web service which guides mobile phones to mobile websites. Users of TextLink simply text the designated TextLink keyword associated with the particular mobile website and the full URL is then transferred back to the mobile phone.
VP of sales at Unwired, Stephen Nye, says “A TextLink™ is something of a ’springboard’ to a mobile site. We have been integrating these techniques within our mobile marketing campaigns for some time, now they are available as a standalone service to mobile sites.”
Unwired Appeal utilises embedded WAP-Push and URL tech to provide underlying TextLink services, while short codes are used for inbound and outbound texts. Furthermore, Unwired Appeal is connected to most major carriers including Sprint Nextel, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Virgin.
